Everyone talks about the way physical training helps their sailors to grow properly, reach their full potential, increase their performance, and reduce the injury risk.
Why shouldn’t it be that way?
BUT, no one is telling you how exactly you should train your sailors, which exercise should be done, which one should be avoided, and how to progress the training routines in the best way.

I’m a sport scientist specialized in performance, prevention, and nutrition.
In the last 13 years, I’ve been working mainly with sailors, surfers, paddlers, and rowers.
I’m a kitesurfer since the beginning of the sport, developing foils since 2007.
With my colleagues, I’ve published scientific articles about kitesurfing in the last decade. Among them, the first study ever done about kiteboard racing during a real competition.
I’m still doing researches about sailing. Our latest study is about the physical performance of foil boards.
I’m also a lecturer at Sport Science University in Italy.
My way in the sailing world was through kiteboarding. I’ve been an instructor for many years back then and I started developing and testing foils for kiteboarding in 2007.
In the meantime, I’ve earned a Master’s degree in Food Science and one in Sports Science.
Then, my passion merged with my expertise, and I became a sport scientist fully committed to the performance enhancements in water sports.
What does this have to do with you?
Nowadays, I see so much confusion around the web and social media about sports performance.
This lack of clarity regarding the basics of human movement is frightening and potentially dangerous.
During the last decade, I’ve been teaching throughout the country at many instructors’ courses from different sports federations. By doing this, I collected tons of doubts and needs from so many coaches regarding the best way to improve health and performance while reducing the injury risk of the athletes.
Especially sailing coaches were one of the most concerned categories.
Often in sailing, coaches and parents don’t give enough credit to the role of physical training.
All this moved me to create a quick and easy way to support sailing coaches with the most valuable training programs and specific ongoing learning.
I’ve created this brand-new platform -Mastwise- to condense those features and more.
Now I’m still working with athletes, doing my lectures, and creating more and more content for the Mastwise Academy with a team of experts.
I’m doing this as I find highly motivating to helping coaches and athletes to keep improving.
My passion is about creating conditioning programs and content for sport addicted.
